Switching jobs doesn't usually come from lack of ability. More often, it’s about recognizing when growth starts to slow down and and when making the right move is important. Yashvi’s journey reflects this clearly.
After graduating NIT Delhi, Yashvi began her professional as a backend developer in Walmart. Over the next three years, she developed skills utilizing technologies such as Java, Spring boot, and Kubernetes. However, soon after, Yashvi found herself in a routine that wasn't challenging to her anymore.
It wasn’t that the work was bad. It was predictable. The problems, the environment, and the pace of learning began to feel similar. She realized that early in her career, staying in a comfort zone for too long could limit her long-term growth.
That’s when she decided to prepare for a switch.
The Challenge of Preparing While Working 9-5
Just like most professionals, Yashvi noticed preparing while working f9-5is much different than prepping in college.
After long work hours, it’s not easy to stay consistent. Weekends often go into rest or personal commitments. In addition to that, figuring out what to study, where to study from, and how to prepare for interviews make things a lot more challenging.
Yashvi faced the most common issues many professionals face when preparing for an interview:
→ Too many DSA questions with no clear priority
→ No structured approach to system design
→ Not clear on what a company may be looking for
→ Not clear how to track progress
Despite putting in effort, it didn’t always feel productive.
Yashvi wasn’t looking for something complex. She needed clarity and structure.
When she joined Bosscoder Academy, the biggest shift was not in how much she studied, but in what and how she studied.
Instead of constantly searching for resources, she now had a clear path.
→ Curated DSA sheet provides structured practice to prepare you for interviews
→ No random practice only solve problems that matter
→ Structured method of focusing your time on problem areas that are aligned in the interview process
Due to her work schedule she was unable to attend live classes so she made a new plan of using the recorded classes to be able to learn at her own speed with flexibility to revisit things and keep progress without feeling pressure to do so.
Learning System Design from Scratch
Initially, Yashvi had very limited self-confidence in system design.
She didn’t know how to start or how much to explore any one topic. However, because the program contained the structure to revisit any concept at any time, Yashvi’s understanding grew steadily.
Rather than feeling lost, she began to see the relationship between different concepts. Eventually what had seemed overwhelming became much easier to connect and understand.
The Reality of Consistency for Working Professionals
One important realization during her journey was that consistency doesn’t look the same for everyone.
For working professionals, it’s not always about long study hours.
→ Some days allow 2-3 hours of focused study
→ Some days only 30 minutes
→ And some days require complete rest
What matters is continuity, not perfection.
Bosscoder Academy helped reduce the mental load of planning, allowing Yashvi to focus her limited time on the right things.
Yashvi highlights a common problem putting in effort without clear direction. Her success in moving forward came from several things:
→ She eliminated the time spent trying to decide what she was going to study
→ Practicing questions aligned with real interview patterns
→ Building understanding instead of just solving randomly
→ he was able to learn at a pace that worked with her schedule
This clarity made her preparation more effective, even with limited time.
Final Thoughts
Bosscoder Academy didn’t remove the challenges of working 9-5 or create extra hours in the day.
What it did was more practical & it removed confusion. And for many professionals, that’s the real blocker.
Yashvi’s journey shows that when you combine consistency with the right direction, progress becomes much more predictable.
